On behalf of the NEW BRUNSWICK AFRICAN ASSOCIATION INC. (NBAA), the GHANAIAN-CANADIAN ASSOCIATION OF NEW BRUNSWICK (GCANB), and DUAPAAFRICA, we are pleased to invite you to join us for a special evening of reflection, dialogue, and connection at our:
PAN-AFRICAN SEMINAR
Theme: Legacy, Unity, and Leadership: Advancing the Vision of Pan-Africanism in Our Communities
This seminar is held in recognition of GHANA INDEPENDENCE DAY, honoring Ghana as the first Sub-Saharan African nation to gain independence in 1957 — a moment that inspired movements for freedom and unity across Africa and the global diaspora.
Together, we will explore:
The meaning of Pan-Africanism today
Strengthening unity across African cultures and generations
Youth leadership and community empowerment
Building partnerships that advance inclusion and collective progress
The evening will feature opening reflections, a dynamic panel discussion with respected community leaders and professionals, and an interactive dialogue where YOUR VOICE MATTERS.
We especially encourage youth, students, emerging leaders, community organizations, and partners to attend. This is a space for connection, learning, and shaping our collective future.
Earlier in the day, we will also host a GHANA INDEPENDENCE FLAG RAISING CEREMONY at Fredericton City Hall from 12:00 PM – 12:30 PM, and all are welcome.
Let us come together to celebrate our heritage, strengthen our unity, and empower the next generation.
