NB Afro Fest 2026
Join in the ultimate celebration of African culture at NB Afro Fest 2026! Kick off the weekend on Friday night at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery for a Meet and Greet. Take in a full day of celebrations on Saturday in Officer's Square.
The New Brunswick African Festival (NB Afro Fest) is a community celebration that showcases the richness and diversity of African cultures in New Brunswick through music, dance, food, art, and cultural experiences. The festival brings together African and broader multicultural communities to share traditions, support artists, and promote cultural understanding, while creating space for connection, education, and celebration through performances, vendors, and community activities. NB Afro Fest include live entertainment, cultural showcases, and social gatherings that highlight African heritage and contribute to the growing diversity and cultural vibrancy of the province.

Freddy Garba Night 2026
A night of endless celebration, this cultural experience brings together traditional dance, amazing food and live music! Garba is a community dance celebration that is part of the Indian festival of Navratri. Freddy Garba Night will be an event for all ages and backgrounds to dance/garba to a live band and we will also have food stalls with delicious Indian cuisines.

This event is free and open to any indigenous creative, whether you are a traditional craft maker, beader, performer, traditional dancer/singer, musician, digital artist, painter, or any other creative profession that are seeking new tools, skills, & network to help strengthen & support self-sustainable businesses.
Tickets are FREE, and travel support is available for indigenous attendees within New Brunswick.

United Colors of Fashion – Fall Fashion Festival
The UCOF Fall Fashion Festival is a dynamic celebration of culture, fashion, and storytelling taking place in Dieppe, Fredericton and Saint John, New Brunswick this September, and Halifax in October.
The 2026 show theme, From Roots to Runway: Designing Belonging, was chosen to highlight inclusion and community building. Through vibrant runway showcases, youth-led performances, music, and art, the festival explores how our heritage, migration journeys, and personal stories weave together to shape identity. From the clothes we wear to the traditions we honour, each layer tells a powerful story — and this event brings those stories to life.

Chariot Fest 2026 | Parade
Join us at Chariot Fest 2026 for a fun parade, vibrant culture, and a free veggie feast!
Chariot Fest Fredericton 2026 is a vibrant cultural festival that brings the community together for a full day of music, food, and celebration.
The event begins in downtown Fredericton with a grand chariot parade starting from Carleton Street, where participants gather to decorate a 35 ft chariot before it moves through the city. The celebration continues at the Fredericton Capital Exhibit Centre with cultural performances, live music, and interactive activities for all ages.
You can enjoy a variety of experiences:
Cultural dance and music performances
Live kirtan and stage programs
Kids activities and family friendly entertainment
Artisan and cultural bazaar
Free vegetarian feast served to all attendees

Acadian Day at The Fredericton Region Museum
Celebrate Acadian Day at the Fredericton Region Museum on August 15 with exclusive guided tours of The Village of Pointe Sainte-Anne, an immersive exhibit exploring the Acadian settlement from 1692 to 1759. Visitors can discover rare artifacts, firsthand stories, folklore, and legends that bring this forgotten chapter of New Brunswick’s past to life, then create a special Acadian-themed DIY souvenir to take home as part of this unique celebration of history, storytelling, and hands-on heritage.

The Honourable Louise Imbeault, OC, ON-B., proud Acadian and Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick, invites you to a family celebration at the Governor's residence, located at 51 Woodstock Road (outdoors or indoors in case of rain). Free and open to all.

For over 50 years, Festival on the Bend has been a highlight of summer in Nackawic! Plan to attend this community festival from Sunday, August 9 to Saturday, August 15.

Guided Heritage Walking Tours
Take a FREE lively walking tour of Fredericton, with a historically-costumed guide leading the way! You will be entertained with local history and folklore on a free walking tour of downtown Fredericton's historic sites.
See the Historic Garrison District, the Old Public Burial Ground, the Provincial Legislative Building, and former homes of some famous Frederictonians.
Tours are offered twice daily from July 2 to September 6, 2026 at the following times:
10am: Departing from the Guardhouse in Barracks Square (15 Carleton Street) and ending at Christ Church Cathedral (Sunday-Friday). On Saturday, the tour departs from Barracks Square and ends at the Fredericton Boyce Farmers Market.
2:30pm: Departing from Guardhouse in Barracks Square (15 Carleton Street) and ending at the Legislative Assembly Building.
Two guides will provide one English-speaking and one French-speaking tour at each of these times.

Celebrate the 2SLGBTQIA+ community at the 2026 Fierté Fredericton Pride Parade! The parade will start at Officer's Square and make its way along Queen Street.

Canada Day - New Maryland 2026
The Village of New Maryland, New Brunswick, will celebrate Canada Day 2026 with an afternoon of community spirit, family fun, and patriotic pride. Taking place on Wednesday, July 1, from 1pm to 3pm at the New Maryland Centre, the celebration will feature a community BBQ, live music, and a variety of activities for all ages. Residents and visitors are invited to gather with family, friends, and neighbours to enjoy the festivities and celebrate Canada’s birthday in a welcoming and festive atmosphere.
Canada Day - Oromocto 2026
In 2026, the town of Oromocto, New Brunswick, will celebrate Canada Day with a full day of family-friendly festivities at Sir Douglas Hazen Park. Beginning at 11am on July 1, residents and visitors can enjoy activities, midway rides, vendors, and live entertainment, along with the annual Canada Day parade in support of the Oromocto Food Bank, encouraging attendees to bring non-perishable donations. Official Canada Day ceremonies will begin at 12:30pm, followed by a lineup of local musical entertainment throughout the afternoon and evening, featuring performances by Acoustic Rewind, The Town Cats, The Wise Guys, and The Mix with Carlin Fraser. The celebration will conclude with a fireworks display at dusk, bringing the community together to celebrate Canada’s birthday.
