Black History Month

Black History Month – February 2026

Black History Month is a time to honour and celebrate the achievements, resilience, and contributions of Black Canadians and people of African descent. Throughout February, we encourage our community to learn, reflect, and engage with events, stories, and historical perspectives that deepen understanding and foster inclusion.

📌 St. Thomas University Events:
The STU Black Students’ Association and African and Caribbean Student Club have organized a full schedule of activities for Black History Month, including panel discussions, workshops, cultural showcases, and community celebrations. You can view all details and event listings here: https://www.stu.ca/news/all-news/2026/black-history-month-events.php.

Let’s use this month to celebrate excellence, amplify voices, and promote active allyship in building a more inclusive and just community.
