Federal
There are 3 immigration programs managed through Express Entry:
Canadian Experience Class – For skilled workers with eligible Canadian work experience.
Federal Skilled Worker Program – For skilled workers with eligible foreign or Canadian work experience.
Federal Skilled Trades Program – For skilled workers who are qualified in a skilled trade
A pathway to permanent residence for skilled foreign workers and international graduates from a Canadian institution who want to work and live in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, or Newfoundland and Labrador.
This program allows permanent residents and Canadian citizens to sponsor their spouse or child to immigrate to Canada.
The government of Canada provides refuge to those who require protection and who have been designated as refugees/asylum seekers.
Pre-arrival Services:
The government of Canada offers pre-arrival services to immigrants to facilitate integration into the country. This consists of free in-person and online services that help you move to Canada, secure employment, and get your education/work experience recognized.

Settlement Services:
Newcomers to the Capital Region can access a range of essential settlement services to support their integration and help them feel connected to their new community.
MCAF is an organization that plays an important role in supporting newcomers in Fredericton. Founded in 1974, it seeks to assist newcomers to become established, as well as foster an environment that encourages multiculturalism.
Anchored in the Acadian and Francophone community of Southeastern New Brunswick, CAFi ensures, in French, the full integration of immigrants. As of January 2024, CAFi has opened a satellite office in Fredericton to serve Francophone immigrants.
The Rural Settlement Network (RSN) is comprised of settlement agencies in seven rural and francophone centres, including Grand Lake. This initiative is led by the New Brunswick Multicultural Council to address gaps in settlement services in small centres and improve the quality and consistency of support to better serve and retain newcomers to these communities.
CCSA is an organization that looks to support the development of the French community in Fredericton. It officially opened its doors in 1978 and oversees the administration of a community center for the French community in the region of Fredericton on behalf of the Government of New Brunswick.
