Commitment 2:
Dedicated Space for spiritual and wellness needs.
Employers commit to providing space, whether physical or scheduled, for prayer, smudging, wellness activities, or sensory needs.
Employer Actions
Organizations should provide accessible spaces that support employee wellness, reflection, and cultural or spiritual practices. To fulfill this commitment, organizations are encouraged to:
Identify physical or scheduled spaces for prayer, meditation, smudging, quiet reflection, or wellness activities
Ensure spaces are accessible, respectful, and inclusive of diverse cultural, spiritual, and personal needs
Provide guidance on respectful shared use of wellness or reflection spaces
Create environments that are quiet, comfortable, and free from unnecessary interruptions where possible
Incorporate sensory-friendly features that support low-stimulation environments
Communicate clearly about the availability and appropriate use of these spaces
Evidence Requirements
To complete this commitment, organizations are asked to:
Review workplace spaces or practices to identify opportunities to support employee wellness, reflection, sensory needs, or cultural and spiritual practices
Implement at least two practices that support inclusive wellness or reflection spaces, such as:
identifying a dedicated or scheduled space for prayer, reflection, or wellness activities
incorporating sensory-friendly or low-stimulation features where possible
providing guidance for respectful shared use of wellness or reflection spaces
communicating clearly about available wellness or reflection supports
considering cultural, spiritual, or accessibility needs in workplace space planning
Submit a short reflection describing actions taken and future opportunities for improvement
Evidence may include:
Photos or descriptions of wellness or reflection spaces
Internal communication or guidance materials
Shared use guidelines or scheduling processes
Workplace planning or accessibility review notes

Providing accessible spaces for reflection, prayer, or wellness supports employee well-being and respects cultural, spiritual, and personal diversity. This commitment fosters inclusion, reduces stress, and helps employees balance personal and professional needs in a supportive workplace.
